Jennifer Lawrence: The Girl on Fire

"I'm excited to be seen sexy, not slutty."

Yes Jen, you are smoldering hot, but far off from looking slutty.

Jennifer Shrader Lawrence was born in Louisville, Kentucky on August 15,1990. As a young girl, Jennifer was very athletic. She was active in cheer-leading and was involved in field hockey and softball. When she doesn't have any movie project, she actually avoids dieting, thus creating her a-little-bit-chubby-but-athletic look which we all love.We also couldn't avoid falling in love with the lovely shape of her eyes and how it exudes confidence and maturity, but at the same time shows the sparks of youth and playfulness. She had already been featured in a number of magazines as one of the hottest, most desirable and most beautiful stars according to the surveys conducted and was even described by Rob Thomas of The Capitol Times as 'spellbinding'.

Aside from her physical features, her talent for acting also stands out even in the Hollywood Arena. She showed interest in acting when she was still young and by the age of 14, persuaded her parents to go to New York and find a talent agent to realize her acting dream. Her breakthrough movie was Winter's Bone where she played the role of Ree Dolly, a poor-as-dirt teen who hunts down her meth-dealing dad. She further gained popularity when she played Mystique in franchise reboot X-Men: First Class and as Katniss Everdeen in the big-screen adaptation of literary sensation The Hunger Games. Of Jen's blockbuster performance in The Hunger Games, PEOPLE's movie critic Alynda Wheat raves that the actress "is a fan's dream. With her soulful eyes and innate grit, she gives skilled hunter Katniss equal doses of complexity and appeal". Today, she is seen as one of the most promising and versatile actors and was even called a chameleon once due to her versatility which only a few actors could actually pull off. She has this innate quality that makes her seem like a different person every time, and that's very far from being a bad thing.

There's also something about Jen's personality which magnets us to her. Her randomness and sense of humor makes us feel different in a positive way when watching her. She has this "homie" appeal which we adore because we could actually see that she's not trying to be anyone else but herself. When she auditioned for the lead of Winter's Bone, she had a hard time getting the role because the producers were wary of her good looks which was a 'no-no' for someone who will play Ree Dolly, the poor and dirty protagonist. So what she did, she followed the producers in New York on the red-eye and appeared in the casting the next day not brushing her teeth nor washing her face. It did the trick! Her honesty and sense of humor also tops the chart. Due to her amazing acting skills in the movie Silver Linings Playbook, Jen was named best actress during the 2013 Academy Awards. On her way to the podium, Jen briefly stumbled and tripped over her lovely gown, but played off the slip-up with her trademark sense of humor. "Thank you!", she said. "You guys are standing up 'cause you feel bad that I fell and that's really embarrassing, but thank you."

Jen also appears to always say the right things. She always has the funny quip to respond to an interviewer, she makes the right comments we want,... she just seems perfect. She swears but smiles when she does it so it's charming rather than insulting. She tells everyone on the red carpet that she's hungry when no one else would admit it.

In short, Jennifer Lawrence is an actress who knows her way around a bow and an arrow. She sends an image to us that it's still best to be yourself even if society pressures us to be another person we are not. With the way things are going for this breakthrough star, it's safe to say she'll be around for a while.
